Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability ba dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

Yes Currently it is fine but I would like to tell you at this is the dosage is mostly given according to the weight of the child so you just check the current weight of the child and then you give the dosage according to that because that is going to work appropriately also the fever is on the higher side start doing Thande Paani Ki Patti as well
