Q.
hi, can i breastfeed my 2 months old in side lying position at night? suddenly he got cold yesterday. I am worried whether it was due to this position. during morning, he always chokes while breastfeeding in cradle position.. please tell me which position is safe so that he won't choke & milk won't enter into lungs.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. there is no problem in giving breast feeding/ outside milk in lying position but at the same time you should keep the head of the child slightly elevated otherwise . if the child becomes uncomfortable dudring feeding then change the position of the child or burp the child for few minutes.
if the child is comfortable then you can continue to give breastfeeding in the lying down position.
