Hi am mother of 11 months old kid when he poo ๐ฉ it smells bad my in-laws suggesting to give deworming as castro oil is recommended or we can give any medicine for that

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. at this age if there is altered smell in the stool of the child then it is advisable to stop heavy diet or high protein diet the child might be taking becaused it might be due to some digestion problem the child is having.
go for simple diet like rice dal khichdi card buttermilk apple banana and try to avoid any outside or formula milk for fewd days and give plenty of water to drink.
if this continues even after that it is advisable to get the child examined by the doctor

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. The poop can smell bad sometimes you do an infection also donโt give anything without consulting the doctor if you in-laws feel that there could be a problem itโs best to check with the paediatrician first and then go ahead with what they advise
