Hi All, Visited hospital today as my son is suffering from Fever, cold and mild eye infection, Doctor has suggested for Adeno virus test and Moxicap eye drops. Could someone let me know why is this Adeno virus test recommended and what are the symptoms. Can Moxicap eye drops can be given to 3 years child?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. eye drops can be given it is a viral infection for which the diagnosis is being made otherwise the treatment will not change and it is up to you whether you want to go for the proper diagnosis or not and usually symptomatic medicine are given for viral infection
