Q.

Help! I have no idea what this is but my 2 and a half year olds top layer of nail is peeling off from the cuticle end. This is only happening on a couple of his fingers and his 2 big toes but today he was complaining that they hurt... I think he caught on of them and it pulled some of the peeling nail. Does this sound like a fungal infection or a vitamin deficiency? Has anyone ever come across this before because I'm baffled [smilie=017.gif]. Not sure if this serious enough to warrant a doctors visit or does he need a podiatrist or what? HELP

A. hi, sounds like some fungal infection. you need to immediate consultation of skin specialist I person for proper assessment, it's preferable to visit your doctor, for further evaluation and exact treatment or management.
