Q.

Hello Sir, My child is losing weight continuously and unwilling to take food.He is 28 months old. Please suggest ways to gain weight

A. as food for the baby you can give all kind of seasonal fruits and vegetables. you can give Apple everyday .can also give mango , pomegranate,papaya and banana according to the season and requirement . avoid giving banana excessively and daily otherwise it may cause constipation. you can also give rice preparations oatmeals curd preparationsband daliya. it will be better if you are able to give dairy products daily apart from milk. refrigerated and packed foods should be avoided, junk foods should also be avoided. if you will give excessive of milk to the child the hunger may get satisfied by that and the child may not be interested in having other variety of food. over all you need to see that you are giving a balanced diet to your coevhild with proper fulfillment of nutritional and energy requirements according to the age

A. Most of the toddlers are fussy and picky eaters and therefore, it is important to mux variety of foods so that maximum nutrition can be given even in smaller quantities. Try not to force feed and name eating a fun time. Serve in a kiddie bowl, plate ir cup with a straw in different colors and shapes. Keep giving finger foods to develop chewing habits. Include fat and protein rich foods to help in gaining wright like tice, potato, pumpkin, sweet potato, banana milkshakes with dryfruits, legumes, eggs, chicken, rice water, avocado, etc.
