hello sir/madam my girl baby is 3 month and 9 days old. for past few weeks she often put a thumb in her mouth while sleeping, playing. elder people in the family says if she sucks the finger then she won't drink milk properly. Is this fact is real or myth?

A. thumb sucking in baby she is very common below the age of 6 months this is only stimulation baby is getting not habit farming not related to feeding habit

A. Babies have natural rooting and sucking reflexes, which can cause them to put their thumbs or fingers into their mouths — sometimes even before birth. Because thumb sucking makes babies feel secure, some babies might eventually develop a habit of thumb sucking when they're in need of soothing or going to sleep.
