Q.

Hello sir/madam, My baby girl is 24days old and she has dimple at the back. Ultrasound says cord tethering and dorsal dermal sinus. Is it mandatory to do MRI and undergo surgery to treat this? won't there be any complications in performing surgery for a newborn? for MRI, is it necessary to give anesthesia and again, is there a problem in giving anesthesia to baby? please advise

A. yes its necessary bfir diagnosis ok.Always keep in mind that over the day the baby should get food that help her get all protein, fat and carbohydrates and belong to your cultureBest will be to consult a doctor there as well who can practically see the patient and help to get a diagnosis
