Hello Sir/Ma'am My child has got injured in the mouth due to rusted iron and blood has also come out, should he need a tetanus injection or give any medicine. he is vaccinated with DTw1p vaccine. Thanks

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. If your child has not been vaccinated for tetanus at all, he/she may not only need to get a tetanus shot, but also tetanus immunoglobulin to help provide immediate protection against tetanus, which is a potentially life-threatening disease.
