ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. Dear mum, you can gradually introduce top food now. You can begin with soft and mashed foods like porridge, kheer, homemade cerelac, fruit purée. Then dal rice with vegetables, khichadi, curd. Later mashed paneer.
Add ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible.
Beginning with 3-4 teaspoons, give top food 2 to 3 times a day and up to half katori every time.
Continue to breastfeed.
POOJA GOSWAMIMom of a 10 yr 6 m old girl3 years agoA. Whenever introducing semi solid foods in baby's diet, always start slow with 4-6 spoons per serving and twice a day. You can feed lentil puree, mashed banana, apple, pear and carrot puree, ragi and sooji porridge, mixed vegetable soup, hone made cerelac, etc.
There is no need for any type of check up, but feed one food for atleast 3 days to observe any allergies.
