A. To help a 2-year-old gain weight, focus on offering nutrient-dense and energy-rich foods in small, frequent meals. Include healthy fats like ghee, butter, and coconut oil in their diet. Offer full-fat milk, curd, cheese, eggs, paneer, lentils, and soft meats if non-vegetarian. Add mashed bananas, sweet potatoes, avocados, and dry fruits like soaked almonds and raisins to their meals. Encourage 3 main meals and 2–3 snacks daily. Make food tasty and varied to improve appetite. Avoid junk food and excess juice. If weight gain is still slow, consult a pediatrician to rule out underlying health or digestive issues.
