A. The average weight of a 3 year old boy should be around 14 kg. Your son is doing just fine. There is no need to worry. Offer whole cow's milk and milk products like ghee in small amounts, curd, butter, cheese, curd and home made paneer. Give fruit milkshakes and fruit smoothies and add dry fruits powder to them. Offer lentils like moong Dal and urad Dal. Offer one boiled egg per day. Offer chickpeas and green peas. Give peanut butter. Give all home cooked meals. Give bananas, avocados, pears, papaya, pineapple, apples etc. Give brown rice and ragi. All these help in healthy weight gain of the baby.
