Q.

hello, my daughter is 2 years 11 month old. she bangs her head towards hard surface like wall, refrigerator, side of bed, table, which leads to purple color on forehead. (she does this in anger, excitement,) Due to head banging her.. forehead has become so hard like stone. some times in excitement she bangs her head on my shoulder, legs,. it also hurts me as her head has become hard. plz help what should I do. I am very much scared by this behaviour.

A. While head banging is common and usually nothing to worry about, in some kids it can be part of a developmental problem. A child who is head banging often, particularly if there's a question of developmental delay or abnormal social interactions, should be seen by a doctor.
