Q.

Hello, My Daughter completed her 5 in Dec. she is under weight. She eats everything like veggies, roti, dal rice etc. Family Dr suggested to check with Dietician. Can anyone suggest what needs to be given to maintain and increase the weight.

A. Hello mom a little variation is acceptable as far as they are eating well and are active for their age . You can give the child eggs, dry fruits and nuts , stuff paranthas such as made with panner , potatoes, sweet potatoes etc , also dry fruits and nuts , sago , different varieties of dals, rice , roti , fresh fruit milk shakes

A. You should consult with a nutritionist phone so that’s important along with that I would recommend you a proper vegetarian and non-vegetarian protein-based diet and also you should go ahead with giving healthy fats like Desi ghee and butter and start with necessary supplement suggested by the local like iron and multivitamin
