Q.

hello, my baby will now turn 1 yr old in few days. since his 11th month i stopped breastfeeding him. i started giving him one time cow milk snd and 2 times formula. now ill be switching to cow milk entirely. my doubt is does formula milk have any preservatives? if yes, are they in any way harmful to babies? Also, can cow's milk pass antibodies to babies just like mother's milk? how can a baby, who is not breastfed , get those antibodies and build up their immunity?

A. Cow's milk should be introduced to the child only after 1 year of age . Earlier introduction of cows hemilk can lead to micro bleeding in the digestive tract. It's also deficient in iron vit E,C and essential fatty acid. It's also lacking ideal proportion of protein and fats present in breast milk or any formula milk .
