Q.

Hello my baby isn't taking feed when awake, so I make her sleep then breastfeed her. She is 3 months old. I m facing this issue since past 15 days. I tried expressing the milk n then feeding her. But why is she isn't taking feed when awaken i didnt understand

A. Possible reasons why the child is not feeding while awake, much distraction, feeding position not comfortable, low milk supply or overflowing milk which makes it hard for the child to feed or if bottle is parallely introduced then it may cause nipple confusion.

Q. Today my daughter is two months old. I feed her every 3-4 hours, but sometimes she sleep more than 5 hours so I use to get up her and then feed. From two days I m noticing that when she wakes up for feed she take only 5 minutes then she play around 1 hour and then she starts crying, so again I feed her but she is not latching when she become drowsy then she latch..So why she is not taking feed while awake? Q. #AskTheExpert hello doctor, my baby is 3.5 months old since last 20 days he is not taking feed when awake or cranky. I have to calm him down. then make him sleep with lots of efforts then only in sleep he accepts the feed. and he is having trouble while sleeping as well.
