hello..my baby is suffering from cold since 10days...doctor prescribed maxtra..still suffering..what should I give

Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescriftbed. if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dodse can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

You should go ahead with giving steam to the child indirectly and also you can nebulise the child that is going to help in opening up the nose blockage and will help in releasing the congestion also so you can try giving nebulisation AshwinWrite Your Answer Here
