Q.

Hello . My baby is 4 months old . I feed him breast milk completely. From Last 2 days , he is taking feed properly from my right breast but as I change his direction to left breast he gets cranky and does not take feed . Then I roam around and try to latch him vertically . After that he tires to hold the nipple and then takes the feed . However when he is sleepy then he takes feed from both the breasts properly . Please let me know is this of concern and what should I do about it

A. very important to see that position and attachment while breastfeeding the child is proper. if improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk meet lactational counsellor who will guide regarding this. see videos on you tube for breastfeeding position and attachment. take plenty of water, home madde diet, seasonal fruits and vegetables, milk for increasing breast milk for yourself. take 1x5 to 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor.
