Q.

Hello my baby is 11 month old, he hasn't gained weight as per WHO recommendations. Birth Weight: 2.9kgs Current Weight: 7.7kgs Mu Baby is taking 3 meals and 2 snacks per day alongwith mother's feeding. Please suggest what should we do to increase his weight gain, we are very much worried about this. Can we give fortified foods to increase his weight gain? If yes please suggest your preferences. Thanks

A. Hi mom Ideally the weight gets triple the birth weight by one year. As ur baby is almost one year complete now u can give all that you cook for ur family. Add some of the weight gaining food like egg ghee dry fruits, dairy products like paneer curd cheese, banana shake potatoes rice avocado ragi sweet potato etc in ur baby diet for weight gain
