Hello, my baby is 1 month old. While she latch I have a problem in my nipple. Can I give breast milk through bottle? Is it harmful in long run ?

A. Hai good afternoon !! If you are enough lactating then formula milk or bottle feed to baby is ok but Mother milk is best compared to bottle feed. Yes in long run stopping bottle habit will be tough and sterilisation issues . Instead use nipple shield ,try giving out direct feed ,consult Lactation expert or gynaecologist about nipple issue.

A. Maam 1st to prefer using a nipple shield if you can feed directly with your breast by using a nipple shield and if it doesn’t paint then that is very good otherwise if you want to express and give it with the feeding bottle that also is a completely safe option there is no side-effect
