Q.

hello , my baby girl is 5 months 23 days old.. I think breastmilk is not sufficient for her .. for every hour she is crying .. so can I start some semisolids now.. if yes then how much and which food I should introduce her first.. pls suggest...

A. Dear mum, you can introduce semi solids after completion of 6 months, which is another 7 days. You can begin with foods like porridge, kheer, homemade cerelac, fruit purée. Then dal rice with vegetables, khichadi, curd. Later mashed paneer. Add ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible. Beginning with 3-4 teaspoons, give top food 2 to 3 times a day and up to half katori every time. Continue to breastfeed.
