Q.
Hello. my 42 days old baby hasn't pooped for more than 48 hrs. Baby is peeing and feeding is normal. Please tell me if this is normal and this is not due to constipation.

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. it s a normal behaviour of a baby . it s ok for a baby to not do potty daily as the diet is basically liquid as milk. So even if baby does not poop for 7 days it s all ok and should not be given any medicine at all

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. Breastfed babies, especially if they have not started solid foods, can easily go two weeks without a poopy diaper once they are 2-3 months old. Breastmilk is exactly what your baby needs, and so there is little waste product left for the baby to poop out. Exclusively breastfed babies are almost never constipated.
