Hello ma'am my child's weight is decreased day by day in starting days his weight is around 3kg but now a days he is becoming thinner am worried about that pls help

A. Hello good morning !! It's common in initial days after birth first two weeks baby's reduce weight by 200-400 gm and they regain by 3-4 weeks no need to worry. The reason for weight reduce is absorbing of water in belly and after birth they tend to loose weight by 100-200 gm by 3-5 days If baby reducing too much weight more than 400 gm after 7-10 days of birth then consult Paeditrician and check if baby getting enough feed or any latch issues or colic pain.
