hello if a medicine bottle is opened and comes in contact of air .. how long is it safe to give to the baby irrespective of expiry date

See foreign regular medicine when we talk about it the doctor say that you should use it within the first month of opening the bottle and if it is a medicine which is a supplement then it can be used until its expiration date but otherwise regular medicine they say that you should use it within first month of opening the bottle
