Q.

Hello, I had my C section delivery 4 months back. It was pre term delivery due to low liquor. My Weight gain during pregnancy was Ok. I gained almost 8-10kg. After delivery , weight loss was almost 4-5kg. But as soon as I got enough breast milk and breast milk increased, I started gaining weight. I gained almost 5 kg. I didn't get how did I gain weight after delivery. Is that breast feeding which increases weight. Pls help.

A. For those women who aren't able to produce significant amounts of breast milk, weight loss can actually happen when the nursing cycle ends, rather than during the breastfeeding process. For those women, weaning signals to the body that you no longer need to produce breast milk -- and store the associated fat.
