Hello I am a breast feeding mother of 4.5 month old child. can I take covid vaccination?

A. any Covid vaccine like covishield / covaxin / sputnik can be given safely to nursing mothers and pregnant women as per the latest recommendation which is approved by govt of India.children are still not included in this list.trials are still going on but proper confirmation regarding this is not yet done by the govt.it may take some more time.till then children need to be kept under full safety precautions and given a good balanced diet n supplements for good immunity and other vaccines done timrely. Nursing mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination very safely.it has no adverse effects on the baby.in case of any pain or fever after vaccination,tab dolo ican be taken which is safest during this period.

A. Hi mommy Yes you can Consult your doctor once for proper medical examination and treatment Maintain hygiene Consult your doctor once for proper medical treatment if you develop fever after vaccinations Wash hands often before touching your baby
