Q.

Hello experts,my 16 months old son is not well he had thread worms for which dr prescribed mebex we gave it for 3 days. today he got fever and vomiting for which dr prescribed medicines now he has no fever. However he has urinated 3 times only in a day. kindly suggest

A. Deworming medicine needs to be given routinely to every child after one year of age and the dose is 200 mg of albendazole once at night time and then repeat the same dose after 14 days once this cycle should be repeated every six months at least till 5 year of age but it is advisabled to give thifs medicine only after taking guidance by your doctor

A. Hello dear parent! Increase the liquid intake and fibre intake of your child. Better to consult your child’s doctor for further evaluation and advice. Maintain a good personal hygiene and follow your doctor’s advice diligently. Complete the course of medication as prescribed by your doctor.
