Hello Everyone, my baby is having very bad cough and cold for last 3 days. apart from our docs suggested medicine, we are also doing steam and other home remedies. I also want to check if we should buy a humidifier. If yes, which one and under what room temperature to use it. Any other suggestions are most welcome. Thanks

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough and Cold together along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection mostly like flu so supportive treatment is required.
along with that cough expectorant ajfrlong with decongestant and antiallergic medications are needed.
steam inhalation can be given too as it will relieve the symptoms.
