Hello Dr ! My lo weighs 9 kg , and is hungry little one. I have introduced solids to him but he takes 1 or 2 spoon and doesn't open his mouth at all, it's been weeks but immediately cries for milk, he is on formula milk. He takes around 6 oz every feed , every 2 hours. why is he prefering milk than solids even though he is hungry. I have tried giving him solids in different taste,textures but he doesnt take. what to do?

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician3 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 6 months old and if you are weaning your baby then you should start with semiliquid food like purées and soups and after 7 months switch on to semisolid food items and smashed food items like apple and potato etc

ExpertDr. Gunjan BawejaPaediatrician3 years agoA. hello.niw gradually increase the solids jn the diet and give water also to the baby. by 7 month 3 solid meals should be there jn the diet and give as much the baby can take.
