Q.

Hello Dr. , my girl is 2.6 year and her weight is just 12.5 kg . Even she is eating well and I include daliya suji kheer and dryfruits like dates almond etc. but still she is not gaining weight. what would you suggest next to do..

A. wt of 2and hslf yr old kid is absolutely normal . give proteins in diey After 1 year of age you can gradually start giving everything which you cook as a part of family meals. It should be easy to digest nutritious, less oily and less spicy for easy digestion by the baby. Include seasonal fruits and vegetables also. They not only provide with the necessary multivitamins and nutrients but also with fibre. Keep baby hydrated and try to provide some probiotics like curd buttermilk yogurt . These keep the digestion good you can also give nuts like almond cashew walnut

A. thank you for sorting my doubt regarding weight. Yes I gave her dal chawal roti sabji.. infact she loves dal chawal .

Your child is only 500 g underweight right now so I don’t know why do you feel that your child is not giving proper way and also apart from what you are giving I hope you are also giving regular home-cooked food Dal rice Roti sabji to the child as well because that’s the healthy food and along with that good amount of protein isWrite Your Answer Here
