Q.

Hello Dr.. My daughter is 5 months old and we have observed that she remains hot most of the time.. while she is sleeping, her head is hot.. Is there something to be worried about?

A. it is very normal for small children to have slightly warm/hot head palms and soles but if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry about the warm head palm and soles. x you have to consider it as fever only if the temperature in the armpit is 100°f / 37.7°c or more. the warm head palms and soles are due to hyperdynamic cixrculation in these areas (that is necessary for development) which is normal.

A. Take the temperature with the thermometer that is only going to clear the picture for you till the time we do not know what is the temperature we cannot see whether should you be giving paracetamol to your child or not so if it is 99°F then you can give it otherwise there is no need it would be just a normal body temperature of your child
