A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has receidved polio vaccine before as per the schedule then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. Feor polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .

A. There are no side effects to OPV, and it is not harmful to take it multiple times. Even if your child is suffering from minor ailments such as a fever, cough, cold, diarrhoea or some other illness on the day of Polio immunization, s/he should still be immunized.
