Q.
Hello doctor, since yesterday my baby ,he is suffering with fever we visited hospital doctor said it as viral fever and prescribed paracetamol P-250 3 ml and in the middle of the doses if temperature is not control then mafthal 2ml... I am giving two as per baby body temperature condition still temperature is not in control... I am worried about my boy his age is 1 year 3 months

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. it may take few days to resolve you should just wait and watch otherwise we consult your doctor Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required
and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce feverbut if it continues further you should consult your doctor for proper treatment regarding this
