hello doctor,... please help. my daughter is 11.5 months old... our old paed suggested iron syrup 5ml(each 5ml containing 35 mg of iron) one time daily.... later another paed suggested tonoferon syrup 1ml twice a day( each 1 ml containing 25 mg of iron).... By mistake I happened to continue giving 5 ml once of tonoferon to my baby for 3 days.... Later I got to know my mistake of high dosage somehow... Now I am tensed as I read about high dosage iron poisoning.... please help doctor.... My baby had blackish stools for those 3 days... Now I have stopped giving iron... please help

and black stool is also common after starting iron drops.
and be careful n guve any meds or supplements in advice dose only

as a mother.... I am feeling very anxious.... Do I need to worry about these stages of iron poisoning?
