Q.

Hello Doctor, My Son is about 2.2 years old, he is very well with his daily activities but only concern is that he is very lazy to speak up. He hardly utter word mummy 5-6 times daily. Apart, he talks with us with his gestures. So wanted to know when he’ll start speaking. Please suggest. Your response is highly appreciated!!

A. to improve speech -read different books to the child -talk to the child daily routine like the child understands you with regular eye contact -singing songs and rhymes -while talking repeat what your child says with right pronunciation and do not criticize the child -avoid screen time(tv mobile laptop). leave permit the child to watch the activities thxat allow to improve his language -take your child outside (open environment) and have a talk witxh the child regarding the things around the child -introduce new words gradually for proper understanding -speak about things child is interested in.
