Hello Doctor, My son is 3years&4months old.. He us having fever from last night.. started with shivering.. I hv given him a crocin paracetamol doses.. 3times in every 4hours.. But temperature is not getting low.. plz suggest what to do..

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated aftexr 6 hours again iff required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
