Q.

Hello doctor my son is 14 months old.. he is suffering from vomiting and motions since yesterday.. but no fever and cold. I am worrying about this please suggest some medication

A. please suggest some fluids.. can I give ORS water

A. Loose motion could be because of some infection or if chronic than could be some malabsorption. Initially you can give zinc supplement for 2 weeks and probiotic like econorm sachet for 3 days . For any specific treatment consult your doctor and maintain proper hydration . try to avoid giving excessive milk ok and can give khichdi mashed potato ripe banana poha if the baby is above 6 months of age, maintain proper hydration by giving plenty ofof fluids.
