Hello Doctor, My son got hep b vaccine at birth, 10.5 wks and 6months instead of birth, 6wks and 6months due to some mistake. I need to know if he is protected just as a baby who has followed the recommended schedule. If not, how can I correct it?

A. no problem baby will be protected for further advise and information in this regard it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination physically and if all required any investigations also and proper management

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the schedule then also you should give this vacrcine on the the pugflse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .
