hello doctor my son age is 6 years, he is having adenoids issue in every winter he will get cold and snoring in sleep, today he got ear pain and we took him to the doctor and he said there is no infection but we are worrying about adenoids when tjis adenoids will go off or shall we need any surgery for this please sugest🙏🏻

A. many times adenoids and tonsils are enlarged due to recurrent viral or bacterial infections as well as in allergic cough and cold. you have to just control recurrent cough and cold due to any of the reasons and the child will not have more than reasonable increase in size of adenoid and tonsils. any surgical intervention is required only if the child is having difficulty in breathing as well as difficulty in swallowing and difficulty in sleeping at nightz. many times nebulization as well as inhalation sprays are given to decrease the size and you can follow your doctor in this.z it is advisable to give flu vaccination to the child which will help in decreasing the chances of viral fever as well as viral cough and cold
