hello doctor my daughter 5 month her leg is shaking for secs and getting stopped automatically or I hold the leg it is stopping why it is happening. when she was three month I that time i found after that now she was 5 again it is happening wat would the reason.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. shivering in newborn can be due to startle reflex and less likely due to calcium deeficiency. kindly continue to give breastfeeding to the child and take a video of the shivering and meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is normal startle reflex or it is due to hypocalcemia.
