Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold gdsponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms lcike excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

Get a blood test done for your child that is going to reveal the problem was going on because what happens is when the fever is repetitive is mostly due to some infection or some another issue but the blood test is going to give you hundred percent clarity on the problem
