Hello doctor My daughter 2 yes old she is suffering from fever last 4 days. Her lower body is chill and upper body is very hot what is the reason for it?now her temp is 100.8

A. fever is the response of the body towards any kind of infection or an-0y inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is called as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose which can be again repeated after every 5 - 6 hours if required and do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses.
