Hello doctor My daughter is 2yrs old she is suffering from fever last 4days she is under medication now her temp is 100.8. Doctor her upper body is very hot and lower body is very cold is any thing to worry. What is the reason for it?

A. fever is the response of the body towards any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is called as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose which can be again repeated after every 5 - 6 hours if required and do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses.ou
