Q.

Hello Doctor, My child is 6 weeks old. For the first month, I had given only breast milk. Only sometimes, once in a day, Lactogen powder milk. My BM has reduced somehow, for the past 2 weeks. I am giving Lactogen by Nestlé most of the times. My baby is having gas issues, today he passed blood in stool. Please suggest a better formula milk. Lactogen/Aptamil/NAN pro what should I use?

A. hi mam, Aptamil is good . but please don't switch formula without consulting your pediatrician. and as mother's milk is best food for a child, please try to offer plenty of breastfeeds. the more your child latches the more milk is produced. make sure your child latches properly because sometimes poor latching can cause low milk supply. you can take leptadin tablet or shatavary granular with warm milk to increase your breastmilk supply.
