hello doctor my baby shaurya is 3 year old and he getting fever again n again and very high fever 🤒

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out . Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to rkueduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also hrelpful . Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

A. When investigating recurrent fever, the most likely etiology to consider is infection. Especially in children under the age of six years, the most common cause of multiple febrile episodes is the occurrence of repeated upper respiratory tract infections (e.g., pharyngitis, otitis media).
