Q.

Hello Doctor, my baby is 85 days old..Her 10 weeks vaccination is due on 1st Feb 2021. Within how many days I can take her to the vaccination?

A. 1-2wks delay is acceptable generally At 6,10,14wks ur baby should have DTP, HiB, Hep. B, and IPV Plus Pneumoccocal vaccine Plus Rotavirus vaccine. In DTP component if u go for whole cell ie DTwP It may cause pain fever and sometime swelling at vaccination site (painful vaccination). In DTP component if u go for accelular ie DTaP It doesn't cause pain fever and swelling at vaccination site(painless vaccination). Both Vaccine ie whole cell or accelular are equally good and effective

A. Hi actually it's good to give it on time But to a week you can extend and to a week you can advance the date But Dont delay more than a week or ten days Certain vaccines have age limit too so make sure you don't delay a lot
