Q.

Hello doctor. my baby is 5 months old. she is having haemangioma on her head. doctor prescribed 10 mg ciplar in the morning and 5 mg in the evening.he says medicine will go for 2 years. Plz suggest me i should go for the treatment or not? I ll be really thankful to you if you guide me.

A. your child is having hemangioma. it is a congenital blood vascular malformation. if it is small in size then not treatment is required only wait and watch policy. but if it is large in size it is advisable to meet your doctor bexcause medicines may have to be started along with any surgical intervention if needed. you have to take help of paediatrician as well as paediatric surgeon. care has to be taken that no trauma occurs on it otherwise it can lead to profuse bleeding
