Q.

Hello doctor...my baby is 16months old...she is having fever frm Sunday I used medicine paracetamol...till Tuesday she is fine...again suddenly she is have lite fever frm yesterday...what shld I do...shld I use same medicine or else shld i consult doctor.

A. Hello, your baby girl is 16 months old and she is having a fever since last 5 days so give her proper antibiotic and syrup ibugesic plus 4 ml three times a day

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only a temperature above 99F is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after everryy 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever,but if it continues further you should consult your doctor for proper treatment.
