Hello doctor My baby has redness in one eye and he has fever of 100*F . Is redness due to fever or there is any chances of infection in his eyes ? Kindly give your comments I also attached a picture of eye

A. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having. give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water. higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor. kindly maintain hygiene of the eyes and clean it with with clean water. normally simple secretions / allergy redness should not occur again and again. use hygienic cloth as wxell as your hands should be clean when coming in contact with the child eyes if the child's eyes is sticky with pus discharge or regular discharge coming out you have to meet the doctor. examination is needed in case on eye infection . do not use any drops witout medical consultation
