A. It is not uncommon for infants to sweat more than adults, as they have a higher metabolic rate and are less efficient at regulating their body temperature. When a 4-month-old infant sweats excessively, especially during sleep or when not exerting themselves physically, it could be a sign of an underlying medical condition such as an infection, fever, heart problem, or even a reaction to certain medications. It is important to monitor the infant's sweating patterns and consult with a pediatrician if you notice any unusual or persistent sweating episodes. d Keep the infant well-hydrated, dress them in lightweight and breathable clothing, and maintain a cool and comfortable environment to help regulate their body temperature. d Pay attention to other accompanying symptoms such as fever, irritability, poor feeding, or lethargy, as they could indicate a more serious underlying issue that requires medical attention.
